jobactive is a specialised employment service that provides individualised employment support to job seekers including:
- Assistance in seeking employment, writing a resume and preparing for interviews.
- Referrals to jobs in your local area
- Training programs suited to your interest areas, and skills sought by employers in your local area.
- Support services to help to stay in employment.
- Access to other activities such as Work for the Dole, which provides work experience and upskilling, to improve your opportunities to find employment.
Am I Eligible?
Jobactive services are available to jobseekers receiving income support payments, who have mutual obligation requirements (such as seeking employment).
You will be referred to Workways for jobactive services by the Department of Human Services (Centrelink).
Jobseekers may volunteer for jobactive services if:
- You have the right to work in Australia.
- Are not working or studying full-time.
